I just realized today that it's been a LONG time since I changed a fan belt b/c it's worn out. I change vehicles before then. Does The Hive have a brand/supplier of drive belts that are understood to be superior to cheap ones...?

Contitech is international and used to be Veyance then Goodyear.
I used to sell a lot of Conti belts - go that way. Gates is good too.

That is amazing, I would not have thought. Goodyear belts are the last on the list of belts I would intentionally use.
Gates or Continental belts for me. Both have been consistently good in every application I've used them in. And with modern rubber, belts definitely last much longer than they used to. They don't seem to age out readily anymore, they just eventually wear out (but it takes a long time).
I have nothing new to add but will bolster the "Continental and Gates" input above. I worked at a distributor and we sold Continental and they're as good as they get. We didn't sell Gates but we were an AC Delco distributor and I learned that Gates makes the AC Delco belts...so I had an option for the die-hard Gates folks.
