Share Your Pictures of Your First Track Car

I don't think I have any pictures of my first couple of track cars. I think the first picture I have of any of my track cars is of my 86 Rx7 I'll have to go look and see.

My first was a single seater the first season, then upgraded to the two seater. This is Memorial Day race in 1988 in Lake Geneva, Wis

My father and I built an ITA Mazda RX-3 back in the mid-80's. Was my first "real race car", used to autocross, hillclimb, drivers school and track car.

Picture is in the pits at the Duryea Hillclimb in Reading, PA.

After years of motorcycles on track, I got the STi.

Interesting, I haven't heard that.

After a couple years and 10 trackdays trying to make the STi something it wasn't, I got rid of it and moved to a C6 Z06.

I didn't specify what kind of track the the drag car counts.

What class of bike did you race? I was one of those guys on the pesky 125 GP bikes.

This was it.  Bought for $1800 in 2003 or so with 123k, gradually fixed a bunch of various things, added konis and springs and exhaust, and drove it a lot.  It did pretty well on track back in the day.

All of my racing friends who switched 2 to 4 wheels had some kind of Improved Touring car.

I think this stemmed from the fact that the Improved Touring class philosophy aligned with the motorcycle classes of the time.
