I discovered something crazy on the drive home today in the Daewoo Nubira. I can have the transmission in third gear and push the gear lever sideways from all the way from where 5th should be to where 1st should be. I can feel the gate slipping. On a related note, 5th gear disappeared.
Is this an easy fix? I don't think it's anything wrong with the box itself.
