I was honored to be asked to join. It does present a couple of interesting personal quandaries.

1. Have I gained the respect of my peers here on GRM or has it become just too evident that I spend too much time here?

2. All the time I spend here on GRM is really time spent avoiding something else, most typically work. If this mod role becomes work, will I find myself then avoiding GRM?

On both fronts its a delicate balancing act.

As my first planned abuse of power I intend to start dropping zeros from Classified asking prices and then holding the seller to that price with a threat of banishment.
Of course, in true GRM fashion I will not be trying to get your $35,000 BMW M5 for $3,500 but rather I will be trying to get your $1,500 hooptie for $150.

Most of my stuff for sale for $1500 isn't even worth $150, just ask my wife.

John, you should just silently remove a zero from the m5 listing so someone gets slammed with PMs for about 2 hours. Then put it back. Cheaper for you, and you won't own all our collective junk!

I admin'ed 2 very high profile automotive forums for years. It was maddening and I withdrew from everything, came to grm, started building challenge cars and never looked back.
