I only have one dead car out of ten right now. It's ths '96 SL2 that I used as a parts car for the transmission swap in my wagon.

I'm hoping to haul it away this weekend, leaving me with no dead cars.

I too would love a skinny Cobra! All I find are the big butt, flared models.

There's a '56 Bel Air that's had a '70s "restomod" green shag interior, 327, 4 on the floor, in the lean to off my folk's barn, the cows use it to scratch on.

This is currently in my folk's yard, drug it home last Fall, still haven't heard it run yet. I'm collecting parts and have lofty goals. Yes that's me hugging it.

This was in my shed at the my old rent house, land lord passed away, his estate owed the bank a lot of money, bank got the house and put it on the market, it took a while to sell, but when it did we had to scat. Instead of continuing to store the milky oil filled steam powered Grand Prix, it went across the scales as scrap. Yes, that's Muffin the 4 cylinder, auto TJ towing the Squatmobile, a '94 Grand Prix. If I ever have kids, this will be a page from the "Do as I Say, Not as I do," book.

Brought $175, trunk was full of other dead engine parts, old brake rotors, and other random scrap. I poked a hole and drained the fuel tank, but they didn't even check, I could have filled it with water before driving across the scales.

Nice, but again it is in Florida and I am in Texas! Got this one nearby.

Here is another angle of the hoard!

Just pushed the Bugeye back under the barn. Had to pull it out to find a correct date coded 289 for a 65 Falcon.

I expect the one day I'll have a good enough income to be able to have a "dead" car in my driveway that I expect to "get around to eventually..." I kinda did it in college when I bought a Focus and left it in my parent's driveway when I went back to school for 3 months since they can't drive a manual transmission. I asked my parents how it was doing one day and they didn't know what it looked like since it was under 2ft of snow.

Both are very much disassembled right now, and the orange car sits where the black car is now. Black car is in the garage and only has a few parts to take off before heading to the crusher.

Bruce and the Fox bodies. Currently I have 3 notches, 4 convertibles and 1 Capri hatch. I got a bug to find a 5.0 5 speed convertible a while back. Sure, I could have strolled to a used car lot or bought some guys Stang for good bucks and just drove off but I am cheap and not in a hurry so I kept searching for the screaming deal. First car I found was a 1984 GT Turbo convertible for $500. Wrong engine in it but my search also found an 88 T-Bird turbocoupe with the suspension gone to another Mustang...$300. Sold enough parts to pay for both cars and most of the parts to get the Gt running. Well a couple more T-Bird turbos showed up for less than $500 and I could drive them home!

But the 5.0 vert search continued. Kept finding 2.3 Fox Mustangs with bad automatic transmissions cheap so I had a spare transmission from the 88 T-Bird so I gave it a shot! Made good money so I looked for more! Bonus was when I found a junkyard that would sell me 5 speed swap parts for $150 a car so I snapped up 5 sets and went looking for good (bad) automatic transmission Mustangs. Rolled through about 15 Mustangs, made good money, learned a lot and still have some left! The blue 4 eyed notch might get my 86 Turbocoupe engine (too much rust on the bird) unless I find a screaming deal/swap for a Mustang II or Pinto.

Not sure where the Capri hatch with the straight 6 fits in the mix, but it was cheap.

I did finally find a 5.0 convertible but it was an 83 with the 4speed SROD that I paid $485 or one car payment of the sellers wifes car! But, I fixed the starter, deglitched a few things and cleaned it up when a fellow offered me $2500...Bye!

Finally found a guy who took his 5.0 5 speed 1991 convertible apart to change the clutch and never got it back together. Had the parts including engine sitting inside the car for 2 years and we worked a deal. The day I went to pick it up he had gathered everything, aired up the tires and got his wife to push it into the driveway. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a downhill and it crashed into a tree and fell in a ditch. He sold me the remains for $100.

It both a blessing and a curse to have storage room.

Less than 1,000 left in the world or so the Volvo boards say.

<img src="_DSC0480" /> My Saab shaped object. Drove it home last fall, parked it in the garage, and haven't touched it since, until today. It's been leaking both ATF and coolant all over the floor.
I've been getting some heat to get rid of it, but my wife doesn't understand the allure of a rust-free Texas car in the rust belt.

Here is mine:

74 REPU I bought as a project. Not sure I want to take it on now as it is rustier than I thought. I should probably sell it if anyone is interested. I have a good hood, grille, and front bumper for it as well. One would have to source a drive line, and figure out how to fix the rust, and hole in roof from a long since gone sunroof.

Frame is solid, and surprisingly the bed is in good shape.
