Didn't depress-compress the pressure plate. Got within 3/8" of home so I put in 3 bolts and turned each 1/4 turn at a time. Sounded like a gun going off. =~ (
This is a 346 bell housing, I had one from a 322 cu.in, but had to modify it as the 346 flywheel is 2" bigger and has an internal harmonic balancer. "Those are smoooth engines". Well how can they not be with a balancer front & rear and each crankshaft counter weight 8 lbs!
It's in, just wrestling some electrical demons right now.
