Here is a shot I took in the pits at PIR many years ago at one of the early vintage races. An MGA coupe towed by an MGC automatic.

I towed my 1985 CRX Si race car to many races, behind my 1996 Acura SLX.

I can't seem to find a picture of it, from over 10 years ago.
