Sounds like a torturous good time to me.

Tom Bailey seems like a very nice guy with some seriously deep pockets. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

It is Cleetus' home track and directly next to his Freedom Factory.

There are some interesting rules too. You have a wildcard 6th timeslip you have to add in to your average that is from any of the days. He's hiring a big NHRA track prep guy, so that if they go to a track and the prep sucks, that guy is going to step in and tune it up. One lane will be for radials exclusively, the other for slicks, because the radial guys screw up the surface for slicks. The transit distance will be more than 25 miles but not some of the 250 mile death marches (I think a lot of that comes from that nasty Bryant Goldstone wreck that largely happened from fatigue)

I've raced there. Pretty cool place. Shutdown has a gate at the end that will put you straight into a watermelon field the last time I was there.

Orlando is the only track I haven't been to. Drove past it once, middle of nowhere in bithlo, swear I was going to see ocean again before getting there.

OSW / Bithlo is my home track. Place is a redneck podunk swamp and also some of the best racing ever. The original World Streetcar Nationals went down there for a decade before that kind of stuff went mainstream.
