Actually instead of wondering how to make more &/or better sparks I was wondering more of the overall WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
This does not compute!

I think you've missed the point, try this one as a counterpoint: why get into a $500 race car with a modicum of safety equipment and drive it around a track with 60 other yahoos with no 'real' prize to claim if you finish...?

Because it's fun?

well, people have put skis on the front of Beetles and Fieros in the past, and there were several companies that made kits to convert your brand new Model T into a snowmobile..
While doing training to become a DE instructor they had us drive the "skid monster." It's a Ford Taurus with lockable casters in place of the rear wheels. The instructor could hit a button and free the casters. It's used to give the students an idea of what excessive oversteer is. It doesn't spark though!

The last monster truck show I went to after the racing they started welding big pieces of metal to the bottom of Grave Digger, then the drove it around straddling Jersey Barriers throwing sparks.
In 1972 I was in California for training and a Corvair pulled up next to me at a light. He jetted when the light changed, got ahead by three lengths. Closing in on the next light he lowered the front of the car and shot a rooster tail of sparks out the back (I was even with his bumper at the time )
First low rider I've ever seen. Impressed.
