I'm looking for slim LED or LCD gauges. Water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, etc. By slim I mean a gauge housing of, say, 1/2" thick, 3/4" tall, 1 1/4" wide, give or take, not including whatever cable had to be run to it. The idea is that I could add 3-4 of these in a row right in front of the factory instruments, where the wood blocks are in this pic:

Do such gauges exist?
looking to mod/buy partial/make?

those little tiny gauges in the center of the dash on the new focus ST, already have 2 of your gauges.. you just to change the center boost gauge to an oil temp gauge.
How good are you at electronics?
A controller like an Arduino + LCD can do what you want cheaply but if not familiar with the technology... not easily.
Also a good application of an old Android phone + OBDII bluetooth if it's common metrics you are after.
Buddy Club makes 1/4 DIN rectangle gauge displays like what you're looking for. I don't remember how much they are, though.
And they may be a little "deep" front to back.
Could also look at Auber displays. They're all over Ebay.

Again maybe a little deep.
The Ark Design Multi-Function Display might fit the bill. It has a very small footprint and you can customize what parameters you want it to display.

OBDII-compatible version: http://www.arkdesign-us.com/products/electronics/mfd-2-multi-function-dash-2

They have a whole bunch of gauges that have small form factors, but aside from the MFD and a shift timer, Ark Design's products are turbo- and DBW-oriented.
Interesting options, guys. Thanks. Much appreciated.

Here's a website selling the Buddy Club Digi-Meters:

According to this post I found on a 240SX forum, Evasive says the meters' dimensions are 3” W x 3/5” H x 2” D.
I'm building several for myself and for resale. Not terribly hard to do. I want a ton of optional inputs for additional sensors, and ability to use it as a display for a wideband.
