I don't have anything fancy to offer except this. This was an 80-something S-truck I had for a while. it had a 5.3L out of a truck with a T56. It was loud, fast, and stoopid dangerous. I used it as a commuter for a while then parted it out. I made my money back even after keeping the T56.

I still haven't exactly forgiven my dad for sticking with a '66 F250 to replace our '64 F250 back in... '82? We looked at one of these, and I was head-completely-over-frickin-heels the way you'd expect a ten year old to be with one of these. I still jump when I see them.
OTOH, for what this guy wants, I could get into Unimog type of trouble...

I know, I know, wrong thread! Unless you view the 404 as a small pickup as compared to the 416...
Here is mine, i havent done anything with it yet.
I have found it is easier to find that picture by googling "plymouth arrow truck" than it is to actually dig through my photobucket.

You don't see too many of those.
Plans?
Mazda Trucks:
B1500:
Porter:
Romper:
Mazda needs to make another truck called "Romper." What a great name!
I'll take the long-bed version:
The dash looks kinda fancy, but you don't even get rubber mats on the floor!

I have a "Comanche" folder in My Pictures on this laptop.
I had a Datsun 620 just like this one execpt in bright yellow with black trim & turbine style mag wheels. It had a weber carb, homemade headers and a side dump exhaust. We called it Rumble Bumble. That was a great truck!
It ran great right up until the day the frame rusted away from the body. I miss it dearly and would love to have another one.

I just want you to know that I meant that in a very very good way! I love Unimogs more than... Well, just about anything!
My daily driver: The Hideous Hardbody:
I like this thread. Old Datsun trucks are awesome, and some of these other ones I've never seen! Those old Mazdas rock!

The plan is to do it up more like my Dad's 79 Sport we had while i was growing up. It was a cooler truck all around (bigger motor, 5spd vs 4spd, stripe package, color matched wheels, cooler interior) but i'll mostly be after the exterior looks part of it. I already have the 14" wagon wheels to color match and pinstripe. The stripe package looked similar to the one on this truck:
Motor stuff? Frankly i am thinking of putting a weber on it and leaving the rest of it stock. It will get lowered and the interior will be messed with (re-colored dash, different seats etc). I've had more ambitious plans for it in the past but i think just getting the looks right and making it self-propelled will make me really happy.
