This looks like an EV I can get excited about...they don't all have to be big SUVs. 429hp, 3,000lbs, chrome moly tube chassis, simple dash with no fancy displays, $32,000.

Huh. Interesting concept. What are the odds it makes it A) to production and B) to the US and C) at anywhere near that price point?
In reply to brandonsmash :
Odds are probably close to zero for all three to happen but a guy can dream.
Very nice, I would seriously consider buying one if I had the money. I'd have to check up on which tracks are still banning EVs.
It's very cool but......................call me when the get it down to 1800lbs.
My main problem with modern cars is they are heavy.
As for it making it here it probably won't; too bad as it is really cool.
Crash safety standards would never let that car come to the US (whole). Now if the went the route of, say, Noble or Caterham...
being Chinese made it's unlikely that we will see for anywhere near Miata money. The current EV tariff on chinese EV's is 100% and preceeds the current administration.
It could be a great car at $30k, but at $60k it looks exceedingly less so.

Caterham has an EV car coming...

sadly it is WAY more expensive:<£80,000 GBP (UK market)

When a new Lotus is pushing 3300lbs you're not likely to see an 1800lb EV sports car any time soon.

Oh I know; its a completely ridiculous ask on my part but it's where I am at.

Sadly, 3000 is the new 1800.
Just like 245 width tires are the new 185.

Nice, I was just about to ask. I they've gotten cheap enough the go-to staring point for a performance EV project.

egh.
This got me thinking though - Going the way of a Locost or Midlana but chassis designed for an EV drivetrain would be very interesting.
