What a cool video. At first I thought, "Man, there sure are a lot of places to wreck a car on that hillclimb," but then I saw that really long line of apparantly undamaged cars waiting to go back down the hill.
And yes, that was definitely a turbo car.
yes, that was faster than any smart I ever saw

Super light and small foot print are two wonderful assets for an auto X car
The Sonett turns many chicanes into straights
That's the Abomination's strong point. It's so short and narrow that I can point it at a chicane and just nail it. The difference between it and the smart: my azz is only about 7" off the ground.

I just thought it was a cool video of a car everyone hates so much.
Only it was a roadster... not sure those get the same kind of hate.
same running gear and suspenion though.

No drain plug? Dang, that's dumb.
IIRC, the Smart is a much updated version of the 'Swatch' car first conceived in the 1980s and produced in 1993. So yeah it's been around for a good while now.
It's easy to change the oil though. Just fill the crankcase with water and keep the water flowing until it burbles out clear from the engine oil fill hole. Remember, oil floats on water.

Wow. Didnt know the smart could go back in time ^
If you're referring to the article date, you have to remember smart cars have been offered outside of the US for a few years now. Hence the license plates.
No, no, no. He's referring to "Back to the Future". Where ya' been?
I recently went to a pca auto-x in Camarillo, there was a Smart that ran. He did not do too well. It was a totally stock car though.
Results... I was #574 in the mitsu evo btw. There are a wide range of car results to see how the smart stacks up.

Wow. I'd really like to attend an autocross with only 23 competitors. That being said, only three runs!? WTF?
There were 23 people in just the "x" class (anything not a Porsche). Over half the field was porsches. Anything not a Porsche is in "x" class at their events. Three times runs + 13 practice runs. Great day.
The camaro, all stock origional '69 ss with matching numbers or whatever. To say the guy was taking it easy is an understatement.
