I got to do laps at lrp in some cool cars this month...
I drove a a bunch of stuff, but the life altering cars were a 750whp modded mclaren 12c and a compound charged ford gt with penske coilovers. A couple weeks ago I got to test an acr extreme as well. What a different experience these cars were!
The mclaren was very fast but sterile feeling and had highly intrusive electronics that could not be defeated. This coupled with an open diff made for a car that had an amazing, rigid chassis with good dynamics that you had to drive very cleanly to prevent the traction control from intervening heavily and slowing your lap times considerably. It found pretty astounding traction off corners considering the open diff, and you could tell the people who set up the electronics package worked very hard to quell wheelspin and put down the copious amounts of power. It had a fair amount of understeer on corner entry despite 245 section front tires (up from 225 according to the owner). Iirc the car was on p zero corsas as opposed to the usual trofeo r that the owner usually runs, trofeo r would have really helped.
An absolutely amazing car.
The viper acr extreme was delicious, just a peach of a car. A great balance of power and dynamics, with tremendous grip and chassis that was completely exploitable. You hear people describe these cars (vipers) as widowmakers that will bite you with no warning, that's utter bullE36 M3 from people who can't drive, think of these cars as the ultimate miata.
The Ford gt was a religious experience, but not in a frightening way at all. It had Savage amounts of power, and put it down astoundingly well. The chassis was exquisite, with such poise and balance that you could confidently adjust your line throughout the corner and the throttle control was so well judged that you could meter delivery and corner on throttle even at this power level. Several times during the test I was struck by the fact that this car would be the offspring if the acr and my mr2 hooked up plus a thousand horsepower 
Ford gt is my new halo car. A car that's that predictable with that level of adjustability that runs 290 in the standing mile, yes please!
