Well, it looks like the new owner will be picking up the Z06 on the 13th; the deposit has been made. I'm actually kind of sad and was hoping that he would hate it and not want to buy it when he came to see it.
Anyway, I'm going back to my old habit of buying cheap, interesting cars that won't make me cringe AS MUCH when a pebble hits them. I'm setting a cap of $5k, but I'm aiming for less. Then again, I might go more depending on what I find.
The automotive ADD is kicking in, and I've already been looking at MG's, Triumphs, and BMW's. I'm kind of wanting a 318ti. I'm resisting the temptation to buy a new CBR1000 in pearl white.
What' the purpose? Daily driver? Weekend car? Competitive autocrosser? Track day toy? Time trails? Wheel to wheel? Help me help you.
I'd get the bike. the new bikes are so incredible these days.
The CBR will make the vette look weak.
stretch to 8K and buy My MR2 spyder ?
Miata for Track work?
I already have an RC51; it makes the Vette look weak. Of course, the CBR1000 makes the RC51 look weak. The CBR would also work better than the RC51 for commuting and such. The car would be a daily driver. I prefer to use motorcycles for track fun.
Alfa GTV6 and Milano are fun, you could probably find a Maserati Biturbo or a Mercedes 190E cosworth for that cheap too.
I'd like an MR2 Spyder, but I can find decent condition E36 M3's for similar money. I also like Supra turbos...hmmm. I've even been looking for good condition SHO's. I loved my 91.
I would steer clear of the SHO. If you want to hear the song of something V6 powered I would go GTV6. Added bonus will be no one will know what the hell it is.

buy something old, they're simple, fun, and neat, I'm trying to work up the courage to sell the Fiat, but it just looks so damn good, and sounds killer...
the BMW S1000R will make all bikes and everything mentioned in this thread weak...and not by just a little bit.
9.45 @ 155 to begin with.
I rode one at a demo day. Unreal power. Hated the bike though. I'd be done after about 20 miles. Comfy it ain't
I'm only 5'8; the rc51 is pretty comfy.

Sometimes I wish I was shorter. Sometimes.
Bikes? Get a Triumph Speed Triple. That will be fun. And it will look at least as cool as any Vette.

Have you ever ridden a supermoto? Bike wise at say anything less than 80mph they are just too much fun. The slower the turns the better for you. It's like a lotus elise meets a ford raptor because you have the light weight and insane street handling but can go off in the dirt or hit some jumps

This... I took in on trade an Aprilla 550 Supermotard and it was scary compared to a 600RR below 80mph.. Downright violent.

In a "makes you want to do wheelies jump curbs and drift corners freaking awesome" way right :)
And that Aprilia is a beast with the twin
I must have missed it, but why are you selling the Vette?
It's kind of become "just a car." It also injects a lot of money into my toy budget.
I'm thinking about trading my C5Z for a '12 or '13 Rubi (has to have the new 3.6). I dunno if it's a wise decision or not.
Whoever said supermoto...I'll third that.
those things can kick any bike (or car's) ass in the "real" world.
Hell...they can keep up with a shifter kart if you've got the skillz

I had one and absolutely loved it, really wish I had never sold it. They are practical, reliable and awesome on gas. Go for it!! Along the same lines and early Z3 with the M42 would be a fun car as well and easy on the wallet.

I sold my bike and went back to cars for now (hence miata) but supermoto is the one bike I want to own again sometime in the future its just nutty fun. And toy budget wise it leaves you plenty of room for something else as well
