After all of the fun we had in the GTO thread . . . . I went out today and got this!!
I'll have some more pics later tomorrow.

Nice! I really liked them when I drove them but there was a significant lack of headroom, as in my head was rubbing the headliner when I was in a reasonable driving position.
If it has under 50k miles, go break the rear diff and radiator right now while they're still under warranty, because they're bound to break sooner or later.
I sold mine last year. It was a ton (or two) of fun.
I usually favor coupes, given the choice. But, for some reason, the sedan version just does it for me. I LOVE it!

It got MORE than 40mpg in that picture
I got roughly 27mpg on way back from GA to SC
it's funny... I really disliked those cars when they came out.. but the sharp edged creases have really grown on me
gulldangit
now I hafta add that into the fray of what car to buy in the spring... Mustang GT, GTO, CTS-V

Didn't either. I thought the design was good, but the height of the front fender was a bit strange. I LOVE how the STS/STS-V turned out. In my own twisted mind, the STS would look great as coupe.
Don't get me wrong . . . I still love my CTS-V

I looked at it like this.
The CTS-V won out
The CTS-V and GTO have issues with the differential and bushings. The CTS-Vs are worst because the General tried to keep 60-70% of the "caddilac ride" with soft ass rubber bushings throughout the drivetrain. The aftermarket tried to remedy this with replacement bushings, but this introduced more NVH and a higher number of differential failures for owners who did "questionable" things to the car. The aftermarket rushed several products to market that expose other areas and/or cause breakages in some. However, there are a few shops that have a decent complete solution sorted that tames the issue.
For DD use and smart mounts replacement, there shouldn't any issues.
If I was looking for a bottom dollar, hoon, mod mobile, the Mustang would have gotten a closer look.
