3000gt or dodge stealth. Best believe torque steer is not an issue lmao

I have an 06 Honda Accord V6 with the 6-speed. That's my only personal data point on V6 FWD cars.

It definitely understeers quite a bit. I think a thicker rear sway will help, but not sure how much yet. I don't notice any torque steer even at full zoot.

It's a fantastic car to spend time in. I think the Acura TL Type-S version would be great too.

I will second the 90s GMs.  The 91 Beretta GT I had in college was just downright fun.  Getrag 5-speed that was a great box with a poor shifter feel, but it got the job done.  Come to think of it... what ever happened to Berettas and Corsicas?  I still see tons of Olds and Buick cookie-cutters from that era, but you almost never see Berettas.

GTP (tough to find in manual these days)

Lumina or Monte Carlo with the Eurosport package and the 3.4L was a fun ride.

Pretty much any of the FWD with the 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, or 3.8L was a darn bulletproof setup.  The 3.1 maxed out at about 150hp, but find anything with the supercharged 3.8L and a manual and you have a winner.

If I recall, the Acura TL Type-S was offered with a manual and LSD.

The last year of the Acura CL Type-S was also equipped with a manual, but it was only offered in 2003.

BTW, my 02 CL Type-S auto definitely drives better than my wife's 2000 v6 Mustang coupe did when she had it.

All years of 2004 - 2008 Acura TL offered a 6spd, and those 6spd all came with LSD.  The TL Type-S had a 3.5 J instead of the 3.2, and made 286hp instead of 268-ish.  Non-Type S 6spd's were around $5k a couple years ago, with Type S cars around $9k.  They've probably dropped a little from there.

I've got a TL 6spd, I've taken it to OneLap twice.  It drives like Fit with twice the power, and can still knock down around 30mpg on the highway.

In reply to Curtis :

I don't think the supercharged 3.8 came with a manual, at least not in the usa.

Why stop with a V6, a 2006 Monte Carlo SS is in your future

Correct, they only came with an automatic from the factory. There have been a few examples of home-brew swaps out there.

I want one. That probably means it's a nightmare POS except when it's working right. cheeky

I had the exact same thought.

I've been pretty actively looking for a G6 GTP lately.

3.9 and 6 spd F40 trans seems like it could be a fun combination to me for a daily/commuter/beater and possible challenge car
