Forgive me for not being well-versed in the world of NASCAR/Circle Track Racing (I promise I'm trying to learn more).
I'm not familiar with the All-Star Race, but the idea of a pit lane without a speed limit is absolutely wild. I love it.

If only you could have seen the Daytona 24Hr races when there was no pit lane speed limit. Also before the track had lots of lighting. Outside tire changers, in the middle of the night, with cars going past at 100+mph will keep you on your toes.
All-Star pit stop practice sessions were wild to watch as the drivers tried to figure out how late they could brake from on-track speed and not spin the car across the front straight trying to get on pit lane.
Is there any video footage of Petty getting out of his Plymouth and beating down the corner of the roof skin that had worked loose? Cause that picture is epic.
I've watched this multiple times today already, and it's still just as enjoyable to watch.
More please.
I'm impressed by how well they can align the lug nut holes with the studs. There's nothing there to align them, they're eyeballing and using a piece of tape to tell them where a hole is.
