I have parts from multiple makes, models, and decades on my project car. Whatever gives the best bang for the buck goes on the car.

I may not always have the fastest or best looking car, but as long as I am having a fun it really doesn't matter. Should my stock camaro beat an M3 around an autocross course? Not with my skill level. But I'll sure as hell have fun trying.

Getting the itch to go 'slow-car-fast' again too. I rarely get to use 300+hp to its fullest whereas I can push a car with 130hp in daily traffic and not get any extra attention.

Ya know, what gets me is the chase for ftd, while great, it also means that the young woman who shows up in her yaris isn't coming back too many times. I have a SSM miata with full interior and all because I wanted a supercharged car for kicks. I don't expect to take ftd or even win in my class. But I always hope that the kid new to the track will be encouraged to come back until he wins in GS or ES. My point? We need to make sure that we recognize class wins, that's what makes it all worth while for the folks without deep pockets.

Cars are fun. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong. If you see other people having fun and you resent them for it, you're doing it even wronger.

I think you need a re-start. 2 posts, mostly rant.

How 'bout you share some of what interests you, instead of complaining about what frustrates you?

I think you'll find plenty of support for whatever it is that floats your boat.
