The $2014 challenge is coming up quick, as I'm sure you guys are aware. This year the first 20 entries we receive get to compete in something new called the General Tire Challenge.
What is a General Tire Challenge? It's simple and fun. Best of all, you use someone else's car. The competitors will all use the same car on the same set of General Tire's G-Max AS-03. Fastest autocross time wins.
Sound like fun? Our registration count is up to 17, so just the next three entries will get to play.
As a side note, you guys should be thankful to Florida and Idaho that they put a football game off to 2017 instead of trying to play it the only open weekend in October. Which was Challenge weekend in Gainsville.
Nasty thunderstorm canceled the game after just 10 seconds.
is the course the same as will be used for the traditional $2014 challenge autocross? This could provide valuable on course practice time
Has the car been decided or is it just some unsuspecting pick from the Avis fleet?
"Best of all, you use else's car." Is someone missing? (rimshot)

That is a very good question. Yes, it is on the same course, but it will be held after the autocross portion of the challenge so that no one get's an unfair advantage for the $2014 Challenge itself.

I have an idea now
Who has two thumbs and gets to autocross someone else's car
This guy
306 horsepower and 331 ft.-lbs. of torque. That’s certainly an interesting place to start.

How about this?
YES! but only if it has the dual stick :)
Of course it has a dual-stick! Although I'm not sure you guys can handle the power and fury of it's mighty 80 horsepower. I mean it's probably making a whopping 60hp at the wheels!
It is actually riding on General Altimax tires----- they were $158 for the SET through Tire Rack! The Champ rocks!
