Spot removal-fu?

We are getting our 05 Pacifica ready to sell.

Mrs. Android, despite my numerous warnings, managed to stain the E36 M3 out of the passenger front seat with her coffee drinks that spill because the cup holders are already full. I digress...

So I just tried three applications of some foam Resolve stuff, and I'm pretty sure I heard the seat laugh at me as I was walking away.

What's the secret to getting stains out of car upholstery?

When I was attempting to resurrect my e28, Simple Green and some scrubbing did wonders to remove coffee and mystery stains from the light tan carpet.

Oxyclean!

I once spilled 20oz of cranberry juice on off-white carpet. We had some oxyclean I mixed up and I kid you not, I could write my name in the huge stain! Everywhere I poured oxyclean, there was a clear spot. Crazy good!

I remember the day I cut my shin and bled all over our new snow-white comforter. Oxyclean just made it disappear like magic.

I've had good luck with Blue Coral from O'PepZone, though YMMV.

From a junkyard, I was recommended Tuff Stuff Foam Cleaner for car seat and carpet cleaning. When combined with my Bissell Little Green Machine, plain water and a scrub brush, I was very happy with the results.

Tuff Stuff is cheap, bought at Walmart, Meijer, etc.

Spray brake cleaner. We used it all the time when I worked at a dealer back in the day. Gets pretty darn near every stain out of cloth upholstery. I still use it every time I get a stain.

It seems like it would melt the fabric, but I believe you.

I will take all recommendations into considerations and try them out.

In reply to paranoid_android74: Chlorinated brake cleaner is the same thing used for dry cleaning. That's what I use for stains on my linen Saab "upholstery that never met a stain it didn't like." Water based cleaners just create more stains and discoloration.

The non chlorinated brake cleaner is basically lacquer thinner/carb cleaner. I wouldn't use that.

Plus a billion!! I used to laugh at Billy Mays on TV until I needed to get some coffee stains out of the upholstery in the wife's car. After I trying numerous things the neighbor lady gave me some Oxyclean. One application and the stains were gone.
