So, just like the title says, my 1994 Geo Prizm has started to squeak when turning at low speeds. Strange thing is that it comes and go. Yesterday it was the worst I've ever seen (heard?) but today it didn't squeak at all. When it does happen, it's a high pitched squeak for the most part. Sometimes a grinding sound. And mostly seems to happen when I turn left.
A quick Google search says that I should try replacing my power steering fluid. Do I need to flush my power steering fluid before I replace it? If I need to, I unfortunately don't really have the means to do it myself. How much should I expect to pay? If it's not the fluid, and it's the pump, how much should I expect to pay for that?
Finally, my car was rear ended and the connecting pipe (not sure what it's called) between my muffler and resonator has been sheared through. How much should I expect to pay to get that replaced?
Know it's probably hard to say exactly how much I should expect to pay but even a ballpark would be great. Just want to make sure I'm not going to get completely ripped off when I go in for a quote this weekend.
