Surprise! A fork is really handy for removing those self destructing carpet clips in the miata.
Spent the afternoon swapping tops between my totaled miata and the new one. I now have a nice canvas/glass top instead of the ratty vinyl/plastic that the car came with. Couldn't be happier.
Huge thanks to Keith for the fork idea in the performance projects book! Saved me a bunch of forum posts with all the great info.

Not quite, the clips are just there to hold the carpet in place.
