So getting ready to pull the 1uz outta that ghetto ls400. We're also in the process of buying a house so are living like gypsies. Therefore the engine won't be at the install phase for about a year.
Question for those in the know- should I run something like sta-bil through the injectors before I pull the engine, given that it will sit for awhile? Possibly over winter.
I've heard 1uz injectors like to stick.
E36 M3, my RB has been sitting for 8 years. Sure wish I did something LOLz. I just keep fresh oil in her and rotate the engine every once in a while. A little preventative measures wouldn't hurt, but when an engine sits, it could be guess work.
I just wanna see if there's a "more correct" product for this. Sta-bil seems fine, just worried about injector seals. I don't know how that stuff does when left in contact for a long period of time.
I would do the Stabil, plus there's a fogger stuff to spray down the intake while it's running, just before you shut it off the last time. I'd do that too.
Double dose of marine stabil, make sure to oil the bores too.
