Agreed.

Yep, I finally got to that point watching it(was radio LeMans all morning) but what happened was the #3 Audi had slicks still, Lapierre had just switched to intermediates(hence the speed difference) as had that class leading Ferrari. This is a case of a couple cars with the right tires caught a bunch of cars with improper tires in low visibility. TBH, it looked like the #8 spun while avoiding that group but the AF course ferrari plowed straight into them. The Toyota isn't at fault here.
Are all the Toyota No7 feeds dead? I made the mistake of refreshing my window and now none of them are available in the US.
We should tally up the number of front runners that have been taken out by Ferraris in the past few years. I can think of at least one Toyota and three Audis. It's a joke. It's funny how the GTE Am Astons and Porsches never seem to be as involved in destroying other cars.
McNish wasn't taken out by a Ferrari, he went for real estate that wasn't there. Rocky on the other hand was. And at Daytona the Audi was forced off by the Ferrrari too.
I can't respect Ferrari due to Enzo's crying about Ford in the 60's (I may be known to hold a grudge)
I still think the Toyota was at fault. He under estimated the speed of the group of cars in front of him which caused him to spin trying to avoid them. The Ferrari went left to miss the Toyota and found the Audi.
Has anyone seen any video of the actual accident that Duval was in? Still wondering how he got roof first into the containment fence.
After a while, it stops becoming coincidence that Ferraris are involved.
BTW, I ponied up for the FIA official stream in the app. It's excellent coverage, well worth it.

Its a last second discovery......if what you are saying is the case, then we might as well blame all the people running 3 wide at 50 in the racing line.
So, the Bermuda triangle has struck, the #7 toyota vanished on track while it had a 1 lap lead over the Audi......commentators haven't figured it out yet.
You can also watch the Corvette in-car feed. It's so simple that it's excellent.

racerfink wrote: BTW, it was the Ferrari 458 that took out the Audi, not the Toyota. After five hours of racing, I can finally tell the difference between the Audi and the Porsche LMP-1's. What UGLY cars.
Call me crazy but I really like the Porsche 919 Hybrid, especially the livery. Really disappointed they weren't able to take the win. Especially with it being their return to Le Mans and having the under-appreciated Mark Webber behind the wheel.
Mark Webber limping into the pits to withdraw with under two hours remaining..... Feel gutted for him. He was doing great
loved the live streaming … would much rather watch a race from the in car cameras
BUT …. it did get old "having" to watch most of the race from the in car of the overall leader …
there were some great races going on through out the 24 hrs in the other classes … especially in the last hour in the LMP2 class .. but neither the world feed (FS1/2) or the live streaming coverage did anymore than pay lip service to that race
oh well ..guess these are first world problems … just a couple of yrs ago we couldn't even watch the entire race … so .. was good
The little Rolex jingle every 15 minutes exactly on the mark is pretty damn annoying. Doesn't exactly make you love the brand when they're blocking your view of the race
Well, Audi wins another by being slower but more reliable.......
Great battles in GTE pro and lmp2 though
Compared to previous yrs, this years race was a snorefest, jmo.
Doesn't help that FS1 HAS to cut away to a live MotoGP race with a hour and 15 left.... Classy move there.

Or have 11 hours of the coverage on a premium package channel. They had to switch to NASCAR last night.....
Snorefest? I must have been watching the wrong race. It was all over the place in LMP1, including major mechanical issues from every single front runner and massive shakeups. GTE Pro had some wicked racing for the top three places, including a Ferrari playing chicken with a Corvette at 180 mph at 3:00 am local time - lap after lap, or a Corvette chasing a Ferrari chasing an Aston, all covered by about 2.5 seconds and having to deal with the prototypes flashing by.
Good work Audi. It was not an easy fight.

which speaks to my only complaint … we got to see very little of of that … the live stream feed was (my guess) ~ 90% LMP1 leaders
'course I'm a bit prejudiced to start with .. I really don't care about the prototypes … I'd much rather see the GT cars
I like the prototypes, I love the gt cars though. The gt racing had some great battles, Aston Martin vs Ferrari was awesome.
The tv director must have been th same guy that did the Canadian F1 broadcast though. Two cars go unto a corner side by side and right at the apex they cut to some crew memeber watching in the garage. Wtf man, that happened way too often.
The paid fia stream was really. I don't know who the commentators were, but one of them was on the podium last year. Good footage, although they did occasionally cut away from the action to a human reaction shot.
The free stream was pretty awful, both the commentary and the video feed.
A friend was watching the Eurovision feed (via a uk proxy, I suspect) and he said it was good.
