Well, at least it has a manual transmission.

So, would the title reflect the front half or the rear half? The front is where the VIN is, so I'm guessing front.

I like it purely for its quirkiness... I would have done it a little cleaner, without the side scoops and spoiler-thing, but it is cool.

I could be a lot more snide, but she is a grieving widow... (but, gad--that copy was pinful to read at times)

Typical case of not knowing when to stop. With a monochromatic paintjob and more conservative bodywork, it would actually be a nicely done car.

I dig the wheels bigtime. They look fantastic.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would pay $14k for it.

So is anybody besides me thinking that thing needs a DSM AWD drivetrain, a one-color paintjob, and a set of autocross tires?

YES, and if that is the case, go back to a subi engine, say, STI?

And it doesn't say if it still is awd or not, but probly not.

Is it bad that I've thought numerous times of converting my EG hatchback into something like this?

The Ebay page says it's titled as a Geo Storm. The styling is a bit much, but it would be good as a Ute

Wow - great execution of a questionable idea.

Damn, I like that. A lot.
I like the two-tone paint.
I like the obnoxious bodykit.
I like the silly tailgate spoiler.
I even like the gull-wing T-tops.

I don't like the fake-knockoff wheels or Chevy boy-ties everywhere but those are easy fixes. That thing is seriously cool.

Widebody + an engine swap would have been better though. If your valve cover says "12 valve" on it, you're not ready to polish it up mirror-shiney yet. And put some real seats in there instead of that econobox crap.

Oh yes, this is authentic. All caps is a nice touch too.

Makes me think of my friend, Doug's new "truck". He made it himself.

I see potential in it as well. It kind of reminds me of that PPG pace El Camino-like car from the 90's.

Well, that was my first thought - find a wrecked WRX/STi donor. But most of the car is Isuzu/Geo Storm, so I didn't think the Subie boxer 4 would fit in there. If it would, that would be my first choice.

I could see doing that with a regular brat itself...

Somebody please do that and keep a web project diary. I'm too chicken to do it myself but I would love to see it done.

I've wanted a brat for years but they are rare and usually very rusty.

Totally off topic, but has anybody ever done interesting things with the hot Geo Storm motor, that one that revved to 7800 rpm?

You'll need to log in to post.
