I replaced the front brakes on my wife's 2011 Impreza Outback Sport. I had to replace the right side caliper as well as the piston boot/seal was torn on one piston. I have everything back together bled. The brakes stop quickly and evenly, but now I have no stability control (the light is lit), no cruise (it is flashing) and the check engine light is on. All I touched were the front brakes. What did I do wrong?
There is a sensor in the hub. Could have knicked it some how. Check the wiring connection. If that is fine, remove it, clean it off and re-install.
Bet your cruise doesn't work too. Same thing happens in my wife's Forester if it slips in the snow and traction control kicks in. It clears itself after a few start stop cycles or you can clear the codes.

Sounds like the wheel speed sensor. You had to unbolt it to change the caliper. Either you didn't put it back on right or you got some grunge on it that is keeping it from getting a reading.
In reply to Ojala:
I did not see a wheel sensor or any wires going to the caliper. I did not unbolt the hub. I also did not remove the caliper bracket from the car, only the caliper itself.

Youre right, I think I need to actually stop, read, and think before I make random posts...
What code is being thrown?
Have not checked the codes. I don't have a scanner. I did check the sensor wires just in case I knocked something off, but they are both attached and undamaged.

You could try connecting the diagnostic connectors under the dash. At least i think the gr subarus still had that feature. The flashes can be interpreted for the codes. IIRC green is for engine white is for abs.
Went away on the fifth time we started the car (after a 30 minute drive). All works as it should, My thanks to everyone.
