So was the Supra, and the old-style Celica.

How old-style Celica?

Before they became the kind of car you give your kid at h.s. graduation.

Or, how about any of the all-trac years.

The point there was, as i said in a previous post, looks like they are goin the way of toyota- losing heart and soul to gain commercial success as an appliance.

I'm gonna side with the traditional American hatred of the hatch. I think quadra-ports are cool, sometimes cooler than coupes. We used to be able to get Subies with two doors, but at least we sacrificed that for turbos. I'm not liking the new WRX/STi, but I'm sure they'll grow on me. The Legacy and Forrester are dead.

Ah yes, back when they made these: The fastest RWD (if not the fastest 2WD) rally cars EVER MADE.

Now they sell 2 door FWD Corollas as "sports coupes".

STARE INTO THE NIPPLES OF THE FUTURE, SUBARU!!!!

ive seen soo much bashing on the wrx, sti, remakes from 08 to present, let me correct that, every remake of the wrx, sti has been met with much BOOOING. is there no positives to any of these cars? how many of you will be shopping for these cars in 10 or 20 years?

dont get me wrong there are some flaws that were all aware about, the 08 wrx was, well an 08 wrx that rolled around like a camary. but there 09 was a respectable attempt to fix that. they didnt fix all of it but they made a decent attempt. the sti, i personally like it better than the previous version..

all of this being said, you couldnt pay me to own another wrx again. i got my girl an 2000 outback and thats proven reliable, but do i love it, NO. will i ever buy another subie of anykind for performance driving. probably not. maybe my experience was a bad one. but i aint taking the chance again. but i wouldnt be surprised if we see subaru or toyota back in the racing scene in some aspect 10 years down the road

I never bashed the bugeye/blobeye/pignose when they came out and the ones who did complain were only about styling. Nobody complained about performance. That's why the 08+ is different, people are complaining about performance.

Exactly dex.

Appleseed- Not me, I love the hatch. But thats not the part thats fugly.

... well almost, the tail lights look like "autozone specials". but not the hatch itself...

I remember when the bugeye came out, I hated it... Now I have one for my DD... As for the comments of the old STI beating the new STI, I think thats not a fair comparison, the older one has had the benefit of years of tuning development, where the new ones left a lot of tuners having to start over as the design was not just a modification of the last one. As for the styling, clearly many are upset with the new 'hatch' configuration, but personally, I'd take the hatch over the big wing.

In this same vein would you say audi should draw heat from their commercial featuring the old Group B footage?
