Looking at the classified section NordicSaab has an Eaton M90 supercharger at a great price, what kind of performance boost would be available to my outlook xr with an M90 on it? Its an 07 with the 3.6 vvt Fwd

Assuming you had all the supporting parts, the correct pulley ratio, and a good tune, an older M90 can flow enough air to do about 300 hp to the wheels. Expect a little less with an auto.
It would be a ridiculously huge project though. (Would need to retune the engine, upgrade the fuel system, figure out intake manifold, plumbing, intercooler, S/C mount and pulleys and belt, etc, etc.)
So a ton of work and a pain in the ass for roughly 20-25 hp. The engine supposedly already put out 275 at the wheels
I was probably close to 280 at the wheels with my series V m90 on my GTP. I had plans for an intercooler and pulley upgrades but the car got caught in a hail storm and I couldn't stand to look at it so I sold it. I do miss the super high pitched scream of that thing though.
LOL... didn't think me cleaning out my garage would start another thread!
Just so you know, my plan for the M90 was to slap it on to a 944 at one point, but i ended up getting a 928 Euro S
What many guys will do is set the M90 off to the side of the engine and make plates to run it like a Centrifugal(sp?) supercharger. I've seen this done on everything from a GTI to a miata.

Yeah, they sound sweet when they're turning 14k rpm.
Wifes bmw IS a 3.0 I6 though. Although she doesnt let me do anything to that other than regular maintenance. She wont even let me autox the awd little bastard
I think that if you set the charger to run at a nice low boost level, your stock fuel system can work for a little bit. The main issue I see is tuning. Might look at the newer Malibu with the same motor and see if anyone is doing anything fun in that chassis.
