Oh, I didn't mean illegal like civil law, I meant illegal to the sanctioning body's (or the university's) rulebook.

Wow. I went to a nearby "rival" university, and we would always poke fun at Waterloo for being a sausage factory. Especially their math and engineering programs. Everybody knew it.
That said, I'm willing to bet somebody "important" at Waterloo has an unbridled hate-on for the SAE team because it's 'somebody else's baby', and was looking for any excuse to get them into hot water. And hey! He found one! Seriously, academic politicking is toxic.

ALSO, as far as being "PC" is concerned - I think it's more insulting to the woman in question when something like this is considered some transgression. Did they think she had no choice in the matter? Seriously it was probably her idea in the first place! Some junkwad in the uni's PC dept. (whatever it's called) is sitting there going, "aww, gee lil' missy, we'll protec' yuh from them nasty men with cameras" and doesn't realize that attitude is a million times more insulting than a decade's supply of thong-of-the-month calenders. Sheesh.

We used to say at RIT that girls there were like parking spots, Taken or Handicapped. I had to go to a near by university to find a wife.
