Any auto-x sightings yet and if yes, how is it doing?
Are we talking about the new FWD only one?
Some googling has found someone autocrossing the awd version in NJ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLafjW7RyQM
And there's actually a motorsports subforum at sx4club.com: http://www.sx4club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=96fee26131b4cda362a4be64843dc429&f=6
But I haven't seen one autocross yet. I'd like to try an AWD one for rallycross--seems like a budget Subaru if there ever was one.
The Sportback is the front wheel only stock from the factory with KYBs, 17" aluminums, 150hp and 6-sp.
hotlink, anyone?

I think they were going for an old school Swift GT look.

I think I made a little mess here. Tissue? That's friggin hawt. I'd sell my wife for one like that and she's the one that boughtme my current swift.

2723bs?
Unless its got some crazy torque, may I introduce you to the Ford Focus SVT?
Its funny. I just bought one. I was seriously considering this Suz until I saw they... for some reason.. dont put the AWD in the sport. I mean... am I missing something here? Is there a ban on AWDs that dont look like SUVs for less then 25G here in the US?

Find a fun, new car under that weight with more power? Now find one with 4 doors and a hatch. Sure, I can find old cars that weigh half.... but not new with a warranty. I like the fact that it is very reminiscent of the old Swift GT with the hatch spoiler and lower stance with 4 wheel disc.

Although it might be debatable what looks like an SUV these days... and you'd still have $5 left over.
hmm.. the sportback and awd crossover share the same engine, and are both a 6spd.
go forth evil thoughts and prosper!

Uneven, excessive tire wear and out of factory warranty? Good luck with that.

After all these years of advancement, a car with the same power to weight ratio as a 1993 Escort is considered good fun?
Yeah, it sounds more fun than most other "small car" offerings out there these days, but man, that ticks me off.
Well, it has the same power to weight ratio of the old Swift GT(i). Those were (and still are) fun cars. At least the SX4 doesn't have the Swift's bass-ackwards rear suspension that is damn near impossible to get right.
RoadRace Motorsports offer some interesting SX4 performance parts.

You may try contacting them for info on Solo competitors. They also have a YouTube account that features some interesting install and test videos.
FWIW, Suzuki seems to produce some really enthusiastic, driver-friendly cars. If I was budget-shopping and wanted a fun-to-drive car, the SX4 Sport (sedan) would be first on the list. Some RRM springs and their rear sway-bar could make it better.

Precisely. Consider this my rebellion by refusing to buy anything new.

Sure... but if i can get the same power to weight ratio out of a lighter car, it'll be more fun than the heavier car. I'd PAY for a swift GT in a heartbeat. I'm not entirely sure i would take the SX4 for free, unless i had the option to sell it immediately.
3000lb car with 150hp
OR:
2000lb car with 100hp
Which would GRM choose? (As a fun car, of course, i'm not going to argue that the SX4 is probably a comfier, cushier DD than the Swift, for example.)
I'll take the SX4, or the Forte SX, or the Gen Coup...... but I grew out of the "in your face beat your kidneys and make your ears bleed" phase.
"Uneven, excessive tire wear and out of factory warranty? Good luck with that."
??
Wasnt aware that warranty's covered tires. Also, This is GRM, your worried about a factory warr. on a used car? And how does the SVT worse then the hot versions of Civic, Golf, Etc? Somthing I'm missing on mine?
And that subaru, thats the one with the 8 track, manual oil pump, and single big speaker in the dash right?
(not that im against de-optioned cars. just makin the joke)
