I have no illusions or grandiose visions that this is going to impress most of the hardcore peoples on here, but, I do need some help with recommendations of what to do with it:
Option 1: Do just enough to make it street-able and hoon it to work
Option 2: Roadkill makeover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD3y7ylpqO8
Option 3: GRM challenge
Option 4: Option 1 & 3
Option 5: Option 2 & 3
Option 6: ALL OF THE ABOVE
Option 7: Let GRM forum decide
Build thread "Hold my beer and watch this...1992 Corvette for challenge money"
Challenge, then Roadkill ghettovette.
Fix and drive. Modify for challenge. Rinse. Repeat.

Sell body panels and glass for budget space, make flimsy dune buggy body, up your life insurance.
Roadkill ghettovette FTW.
Leave the exterior as is. Strip the luxury items. Leave enough lux to be at tolerable. Do as many automotive things as you can. Autocross. GRM Challenge. Track day. Rallycross. Grudge Night at the local strip. Just use it up man!
Isn't there a challenge clause that says all cars must maintain original sheetmetal? Or was that a couple years ago? Either way, LS swap, hitch, tire trailer, boost, clean up visually, r compounds, drive to challenge, participate, drive back.

See that's what I thought, now it's not explicitly prohibited, the way I read the rules it May just be frowned upon leading to a low concourse score
I have a 1985 C4 roller, a 327, a T-5, and a growing pile of parts. I'm going to make something out of it, not sure what. I'm thinking strip it down to it's bare bones and slap on some Locost style body work.

Option 4
yes. no roadkill ghetto buggy trashmobile. get a $50 opti, put the front wheels back on their correct sides, come to challenge.
Must retain original sheel metal. There's no sheet metel body panels on a Vette, so...loophole?

Where is that rule?

I don't think its a rule rule, rather a strong suggestion, otherwise we'd be seeing more cars looking like Hotrod's CaddyHack.
We're looking for good magazine and web content, so let that be your guide.

it used to be in the rules. the new rules are much more user friendly.
I would go with option 4. The roadkill no bodywork setup sounds like an exhibition entry IMO (It's still cool, especially for an autocross/track car).
