What is it I don't know about LSDs? A lot, admittedly. The only experience I have is with Tom Celica. I had to use the Toyota axle that was in the car, so no choice but to use an after-market unit for an AE86 if I wanted to be FSP legal. I got a Kaaz two way and it was about a grand. You can get an LSD for a Capri for about the same money. Do people not spend that much for LSDs normally?

Eddie: Ha, nope! For a Ford 8.8 like under a Mustang, there's factory clutch types available for about $250 + shipping and Torsens types from Ford Racing for under $600. Fox Mustangs have the same hub bolt pattern as Capri's as well so that would be a great donor even with the narrowing required to make it fit.

I have a friend who narrowed an 8" for his Capri. No idea what that costs. Does it still make sense financially if you have to do that? I'll have to ask him about it. But he is planning to make pretty big power, so it made sense for him.

Yeah, the Celica is a little ridiculous, no question. The diff is worth more than the car was when I started! lol
