I have a shot at seeing some of Targa Newfoundland this year. The problem is that the schedule, the route, and the spectator guide on the WEBSITE are all "Coming Soon", and I have to plan now.
Does anyone have good info, so I can figure out what days I need to be where? I have some visiting and touristy things to fit in, so can't do the whole Targa. Best stages for spectators? Better to see the start of the end? Best nights for George Street?

Yeah, they'll set you up. They've got a good spectator guide. As for the best stages to watch, I guess it's going to depend in part on how far you want to go to follow the race. It does rather wander around. Brigus would be a great one to watch. Marystown is very popular with spectators.
If you want to check out the cars, that's Saturday during scrutineering. All the cars will be there, all shiny and ready to go. The big night on George street is Friday night after the finish. The cars will be lined up on the pier, all battle-scarred and perhaps missing a few that were there at the start.

Thanks! I'll try to work Brigus and Marystown into the schedule, then, and as much else as possible. I'll be looking for your Miata - will the paint scheme be the same?
Yes, and you'll probably spot our NC Miata as well. It will be running near the front of the group (touring class, you see) and the Martini car will be hopefully right at the end where the fastest cars live.
