I feel like I saw this car race more than any other car at Road Atlanta. All the Speedvision series coverage was awesome. When I was in high school, I worked down the road at Lake Lanier Islands where Speedvision had a party after one of these races. My boss knew I was in to cars and pulled me off moving tables around to setup for a wedding and let me bar tend on their party boat at 17. I gave Dave Despain and  the crew red wine, made a few tips, and got to hang out with the crew on the party boat on a Friday night. I may have only made like $30 bucks but one of the most fun days I had at work maybe ever. So anyway that RED LINE OILS/ REALTIME livery is some of my favorite of all time because of all the nostalgia.

To me, that was the golden era of the series.  Awesome racing to watch.  Nice to see it getting some vintage love.

I remember seeing the Realtime cars the first time I ever went to Lime Rock.   We were walking through the pits, just passing this car, and the team asked us if we could help give it a push back into their paddock area.   Was like a dream for an 18 year old kid. I got to touch a real race car, like an on TV race car!

Yup, it’s a timeless look.

I’d still love an Integra Type R. Wanted one back in the day and still have that desire. Maybe one day.

Having been a late comer to the wishbone Hondas, I just now get it. An ITR would be the dream but they're priced accordingly. 
I do wonder if the fun factor increase over a GSR is in line with the price increase

You can make a GS-R fast, but there’s something special about a Type R. I drove one when new and was hooked. We thought about buying one new but did a 2000 Civic Si instead. Figured it was a little less money and a little more civil. 

We’ve been lucky to have several wishbone Hondas and wouldn’t mind another. The dream, I think, would be a four-lug JDM Type R.

I loved your build for the challenge and toyed with the idea of trying to reproduce a type-r on a challege budget. It feels like the Type R was just one of those cars where dozens of small changes added up to something special. It's more like a homologation special than a model line.

Anyway, don't believe the BAT hype on prices. This one sold in October for 20k and I saw 2000 in phoenix yellow for sale for 24k last year as well. They're out there.
