It work on the same basic principle where they increase the amount of air entering the motor from the intake manifold. In a supercharging process, the crankshaft has to turn belt which runs the charger.3800 performance parts
Got started buying cars from CoPart when I scored a 90 Miata with fender and taillight damage for $300, drove it home, changed the radiatior, discovered it had a Jasper rebuilt engine installed 11,000 miles ago and it's like the best car ever. Since then I bought another Miata, a Cadillac, a Land Rover, and a pickup truck. All ran and with a little love and work made decent transportation. Still have the 1st Miata. See all kinds of cars with good parts for sale. Spend every Tuesday cruising the auctions.

Dude that rocks! Where have I been? Just looked at the CoPart website and it's really got me interested and with your multiple good experiences I think I may take the plunge. Guess a body can learn something new everyday!
Kinda a side note, a guy that I work w/ has a '01 wrx that went from losing a quart or two of oil in a day or so, to a "loud noise" at 80 in a few days. Currently has bought a new car, and is looking to ditch the wrx. He's not a car guy, so he didnt have much info to give me but I can pass his info on if anyone is interested.

Sounds like it spun a rod bearing. Where is it? I'm looking for a non-rusty daily.

I just bought an undamaged Mercedes 450SL from Copart for a bid of $1450.
WARNING: there is a pile of hidden fees on top of your bid. It looks like this will cost another $425 for me. There is nothing in the FAQ or instructions about these fees. I had to google "Copart Fees" to find this:

Copart is definitely a dangerous site. Found an 07 WRX with severe rear damage. Looks like I could take the whole front clip and drivetrain for my 06 2.5 wagon.
Thankfully, christmas has my budget even more in the red. Sometimes spending money saves you more later ;)
I've been perusing copart.com - what an awesome site. I've found 2 mazdaspeed proteges that would make excellent donor cars. One (Car 1) must have been run into from behind by a large truck and the other (Car 2) appears to have rear ended someone lightly.
Car 1 would make a better drivetrain donor as there is no damage to the front end. The only downside is that nothing from the C-pillar back could be salvaged to sell.
Car 2 is the better overall car. It's closer (MN vs. OR) and has A LOT more parts that could be sold off of it.
So very tempting.
Can anyone suggest me the websites regarding 3800 parts perfrmance heads? 3800 performance mods

hmmmm...canoe-ish???
Ugh. Tried to bid on a car today and was denied due to a lack of license. Are all the cars like this?
I don't really want to go through a broker.
holy isht... started perusing copart for fun seeing what vehicles might donate a nice Cummins 6BT for a project. Came across this one... Oof.

In reply to mrwillie:
The licencing requirement varies by state. Luckily in Oregon no license is needed.
