Take houseplants and electrolytes for the plants as well. CO2 isn't nearly as bad as CO.

My first car had a 12V miniature swamp cooler that sat on the transmission hump. A box, water pump, excelsior, and a fan. It knocked a few degrees off, just enough for me on some long drives across Northwest Texas.
