Disregard the rust, why are the tips that orange? In person they are even darker than the image shows. It's not a surface contaminant, it's like the porcelain has been stained.
These are out of SanFord. No clue on the mileage or age, these were in there when I bought the bus. It hasn't been running bad. Just time for a tune up.
The top most one looks good for pre alky leaded gas with a carb. Nice white , tan electrode.

Yeah, but I can't imagine these plugs have been in long enough to have every seen leaded gas. Someone has to have changed them in the last 30 years.
I’ve seen that colour on plugs in the UK when I used lead substitute additives.
I'm going with lead substitute and a good-running engine.
Is that an FE?
"Autolite, but they don't" is what we always said at the shop I used to work at. Don't care how new we always chucked em.
In reply to snailmont5oh :
It is. The Y block was replaced 10-15 years ago with a FE. Probably a 361 but I'm not sure.
In reply to DWNSHFT :
One hit the ground and rolled under the middle of the bus. I was too lazy to chase it so it's still down there.

Yeah, it's hard to tell. Block casting numbers might let you know.
I just read the first 6 pages, and page 36 of the SanFord build thread. You're my hero.

I'm going to guess octane booster or some other kind of fuel additive based on my prior research into this topic.
Seafoam, Marvel and other Top end oils will color a plug swap in new and run it. good to go from what i see. If you pull the exhuast pipe at the end of the manifold bet you see nice off white carbon.
