So Walmart had Castrol Edge on a great sale, which left a little extra money to put into my "fun jar." I decided on a whim to purchase one linear foot (1' by 5') of galaxy print vinyl wrap from a local shop, and set to work. Not bad for a first attempt that was done half in the dark. It's somehow even easier than the youtube videos suggest.
The first piece I tackled had this very 3 dimensional lip. The cut lines aren't perfect and there is a tiny crease or two, but overall, extremely easy.
I even did the trim below the tail lights!

That "Galaxy" vinyl print looks out of this world. Heheheh. I'll show myself out.
LOL, jk...looks pretty good, all things considered

I thought the whole point of vinyl wrapping is to experiment with ridiculous finishes and patterns and still have your original finish if you don't like the end result after a while.
I vote a "crown royal" wrap for the crown Vic.
Well, the original Crown Victoria morphed into a Galaxie, which turned into an LTD, which turned back into a Crown Victoria, so it works for me.
It's subtle, it's cheap, it's reversible, it's highly personalized – I love it. Aesthetics can be grassroots too.
Far out, man
A little heat (hairdryer is enough) goes a long way to help the vinyl stretch a little around curves for a smooth application.
