just cruising the local craigslist when I came across this gem
$2500 for what appears to be a pretty clean, RUNNING (for now), Maserati with only 41k miles on it. I would consider that low miles for its age but being a bi-turbo thats impressive.
I figured of anyone would appreciate this it would be you guys.

Damn fine lawn ornament. I wonder if italian steel will be worth as much as Italian marble some day.
It's done just 1,322 miles per year over the course of it's life.
Daily driver it's never been.

They are all low miles because they don't run long enough to make it to 100k miles.

But I think it looks good, well I'm assuming it looks good as the seller can figure out how a camera works. If I had a $2500 hole in my driveway, that would be on a my short list.
If it gives up the ghost, it would be neat to swap a 3.7 Ecoboost into it.

Thats about what i drive a year in my daily, its a shame i dont want a bi turbo because the 1500 or less miles a year plan works for me and seems too work for the car!
Given that adult-onset type 2 diabetes from a diet consisting entirely of ramen is the worst that can realistically happen, I'd say go for it.

But to be fair, you'll be doing a lot of walking.
You guys should see the Bi-turbo my friend has. Modified into a track car. Has been reliable and fast.
Needed a few things like all new suspension, all new brakes, diff cooler an inter cooler for the engine.

Perhaps you should show it to us

I bet those miles would be double if it had not been towed on a flat bed for its trips to the dealer.

I was going to try and snag it, but it's already deleted.
In reply to mad_machine:
I'm not trying to make it completely reliable here. 13B or 4G63 are the answers, still not reliable, but had parts that aren't NLA. That being said, I foresee possible issues on the 4G63 side of that equation within the next 5 years.
not completely reliable.. but I think a V6 would more suit the car as that is what they came with

V6 Ecoboost is the only answer, Dammit, it's a BiTurbo, it needs to be bi-turboed.

A running one appears every so often and then just as quickly disappears before it can be verified. Some say there are no running BiTurbos.

but nobody believes you that you saw it, they just roll there eyes when you say how clean it was and that it was running and driving, saying " uh-huh... sure...".
Just like bigfoot...

Sorry, I don't have that capability.
But it looks like any street driven Bi turbo from 20 feet. Then you see the roll cage, no side windows and the slicks plus the racing seat. It is not lowered much.
You may find a picture of it on www. icerace.com or Dave Burnham Citroen.
A guy at the local cars and coffee had one - "yeah it's been pretty reliable".
And then he proceeded to tell stories about how on trips to the grocery store, it would just not start. And that it seemed to happen when it was hot. Or if he hit a bump. Maybe it was electrical?
In any case, he's owned it since new, and it's a beautiful car.
