My wife has developed cancer, & has had lots of surgeries over the last year and a half. It came time to sell my miata. I was really depressed about it honestly.
Now, as part of a trade, I have aquired a 98 saturn SL1. If you look at it like I would not have negotiated at all, Ive got 450 bucks in it. If you take it for granted that I might have accepted a less-than-full-asking price offer, its an even smaller investment.
Anybody on here rally-x one of these? Im thinking its a fitting death for a 230k mile car.
I need help deciding on a livery theme. Either along the lines of those harlequin golfs from the 90's, since all the body panels are so easy to mix & match. OR, just taking all the skin off and driving around as a black skeleton.
A guy at work is into Saturns. He has a DD with almost 200k and another race car. He brought in some yellow Konis one day to to tease me. He knows all the trick parts.
I can ask questions if needed.

Get some cheap plexi, peel the skin and replace it with clear. Sprinkle the inside of said plexi with fake guts as needed.
Im fairly well versed in saturn already, but if theres a set of springs that would set this thing up an inch that would be cool.

Do wagon springs do anything to raise it or would that just affect the rear?
I honestly hope the best for you and the family 1st, 2nd location always helps sir.
There isn't anything I wouldn't sell to get SWMBO what was needed in this situation man, that's the most important thing. Second most important thing is cars, I googled but came up with nothing...can the Vue suspension bolt on for more ground clearance?

What about just spraying the body panels with spray adhesive before every rallyX run and seeing what you come back with?
that's an interesting idea. It's already peat colored.

The naked look sounds cool, maybe weld on some tubes for an exoskeleton.

Napa's website is incredibly useful for researching springs! They list all sorts of measurements on any application.
Indeed, the rear springs on a wagon are unique.
Now for the front. Just need to browse search results 'till I hit on something close, so I know what I'm hunting at the UpullIt yard.
