RIP Sabine Schmitz, who passed away from cancer on the 16th.
Wow, RIP. The Top Gear episode of her trying to best the 10min mark on the Ring was my first exposure to her driving excellence. She was always a treat to see on TV and watched her in a few races.
This is just not right. On all accounts she was such a good person. I had not heard of her illness so this comes as a real surprise to me.
Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
Proof you can be the world's best driver and have a good attitude. We should all be lucky. Godspeed.
May Sabine rest in peace. I hope she's having fun ripping around the tracks up there. Condolences to her family, friends, and her many fans.
I hope they have a Parade for here at the Ring , social distance of course the cars need to be at least 6ft apart :)
how long is the Ring in 20ft chunks ?
RIP , you made us smile :)
and she drives a Transit Van on the ring

To watch her school J clarkson in a diesel transit van is how I will always remember her smiling face....RIP Sabine peace out .....
I understand she was to be the new Stig until Clarkson threw a hissy fit and got it all canceled.
Cancer does indeed suck!!
A great read from someone that knew her

The Top Gear UK show will be running a 30 minute special today for Sabine, featuring both current and past show hosts. Too bad we don't get it in the US, I'm hoping the BBC will post it to their YouTube channel later.
