So, when’s the last time that you saw a car pushing another car–on a fairly major road?

For me, this morning: a pickup pushing an SUV up US-1 in Daytona.

Hey, at least the pusher had its flashers going.

Last year in Raleigh towing the Q45 I almost got caught up in a many vehicle crash because someone was pushing another truck going 20 on the freeway

I wish I had gotten a picture, but as I made the turn to merge onto the highway, I was greeted by a Fiesta ST facing the wrong way, bumper torn off and with airbags deployed. A little further up the road on the side of the on-ramp was a U-Haul with one of those small trailers that just hold onto the front wheels.

I'm no detective, but I think someone's Fiesta ST didn't want to be strapped down anymore.

A few years ago I was going north on 405 and came upon a trooper pushing a car down the freeway. Now, he wasn't doing 60+ but he was at least doing 50. Front pushbar directly to rear bumper. Freaky as hell.

I came here expecting other topics, based on stories my truck driving uncle told me.

Was heading north on I-75.  Somewhere north of Gainesville?

Going up a very mild grade, semi was severely struggling in the far right, we were in the middle.

Just as we get a couple car lengths from the semi something happens.  No clue what, but it was probably a coolant line completely blowing.  The entire interstate is covered in steam.  No clue what is in front of us for the entire length of the semi, just complete and total instant obstruction of sight.

Scary as hell at the moment.  You struggle to remember exactly what was in front of you and hope they don't smash their brakes.

And I should add that when I came upon the pairing, I figured that the first car was towing the second car. Right there, my Spidey-senses went off–get away from this mess asap.

They were stopped at a light.

But when the second vehicle inched forward and the first didn’t, I knew to upgrade to asafp.

Saw a pickup pulling an obvious project car with a piece of rope through the Berkshires. I got by and gone ASAP so I won't get hit with debris.

I saw a bull running down the access lane next to the freeway on I-25 North of Denver. According to the local news radio station he escaped from the Stock Show and they had to send cowboys on cutting horses after him to bring him back.

Yes. This was during rush hour.

The other day, I followed a truck towing an open trailer onto I-95.

The trailer looked empty but was, in fact, covered with gravel. I got away from the bouncing debris–quickly–but people are idiots.

One of the tourist outfits in my old town has some streetcars that have been restored and fitted onto what I'm guessing is a truck or bus chassis.

I saw one in traffic one day and thought "Oh, that's a neat way to do it" and as he got close there was a pop from underneath and the driver disappeared in a cloud of sweet smelling steam. Must have lost a radiator hose right then.

Going south on I-45 between Dallas and Houston.   Periodically, and for no discernable reason, the rural 80 mph traffic comes to a stop. This is normal.  I saw it happening, as did most around me, and we all slowed to a stop.  One guy missed it.

I heard a crash, looked in my mirror, and saw a pickup truck completely off the ground flipping through the air and crashing in to the guard rail. It landed upright.  Crazy, right?

Many cars behind me were struck by this imbecile so traffic all came to a halt.   I pull over, get out, and run to the truck to see how the driver was.    No driver.  WTF?  Did he fly out?

No, driver had crawled out the window and was laughing about what happened.  Since no one seemed to be hurt, and I didn't care about that driver,   I got in my truck and drove away.   My wife, who was about a mile behind me, got stuck in the resulting jam for about 4 hours.  Judging by the number and type of cars he hit that accident was probably worth $400k at least.

I drove the LIX from Saratoga to Orient Point pulling a 28ft flat bed to pick up 14 pallets of patio block.  I'm not used to that kind of traffic!

"Hey, going back via the Triboro Bridge would be fun, lets do that".

There are more horses' asses driving than horses.
