Spotted in downtown Ann Arbor today. This was the best shot I could get.

Maserati sedans have lost unicorn status in the Philly area. We have at least 2 dealers in the area, and I see them nearly everyday.
I've seen a few more of them as well. Not a unicorn
Wife saw three new ones in one day on Thursday. Officially off the unicorn list. She texted me and voice to text came over as 'Just saw another new Maza Roddy

I agree, off the list they go.
And now they have a proper name!
We now have Cramits (Cameros), Exploders, and Maza Roddys
So the other day I was able to drive a unicorn (to me at least). A buddy of mine is part owner of used car lot. The car I got to drive was a 01 VW Passat wagon1.8t 5 speed nicely optioned out as well Absolutely loved it too. The day after the drive he informs me that it was a one owner. Now I am comptaplating getting buying it...
I saw a Passat W8 the other day...There is a unicorn.
In reply to Flight Service:
The 1.8t will require enough maintaince for me. A W8 sounds like to much of a headache for me

The control arms with ball joints are not a fun prospect on those.
Been a while since I saw one of these

Still love the looks of those Karmas. Too bad that's about the only part of them I like or trust.
I hope that Alfa gets it's E36 M3 together. I want them around just so that I can look at their cars. Purdy!
In reply to Javelin:
I really really wanted one of those when I rock climbed in college. It was the perfect vehichicle for dirtbag climbers/surfers/bikers but none of those people could afford to buy one so we all drove hand me down minivans from our empty nester parents.

1963 Econoline pickup. Actually driving down the road in South Florida. Lots of "patina" appeared to be fairly original except for bigger wheels and tires. Couldn't get a picture as I was driving with the wife...
Found in my local junkyard. An Isuzu Oasis (badge engineered first generation Honda Odyessy). This one appears to have been a taxi at one point. I didn't even know they made these. Bonus points if someone brings one to the Soccer Mom Challenge.

The F22 valve cover with Isuzu cast into it is worth it!
There was a McLaren parked downtown, but it was gone before I got to take a picture.
Also seen downtown:

Not an M, does that make it even more rare? LOL
Unicorn cousins (similar underpinnings from what I've heard):
Not sure what this one is (is there an All Astons Look The Same meme yet?)
This is rare more for the location, and the fact that it's a shorter-digit plate (implying owner has lots of money, and this car is in the ahem lower-income side of town) and the car is ROUGH. Like craigslist rough. I couldn't get a pic of the front, but aside from the missing gas door, the interior is peeling in places, the hood doesn't close straight, the header panel between the lights was gnarly... but I still got a kick out of seeing it
Full disclosure, I cheated on this one Outside the McLaren dealer at the mall. (L to R: Huracan, 650S spyder, 570S)
When I was living in San Diego, in the 80s, it was agreed that a crown vic wagon was the ultimate unicorn
I just like seeing marauders out in the wild. Makes me miss my Crown Vic LX Sport..

That. What the heck is that? I saw one on the road around here recently, same color, New Hampshire plate.
It's a Chevy SS with a Holden GTS HSV front end conversion.

Huh. This was something large Civic/small Accord-sized, but with the same/similar butt ugly nose and a hood scoop. Way too small to be a GTO/G8.
In reply to stormhammer:
I'm not sure if it was a conversion. Did GM sell an equivalent Vauxhall/Opel in Europe? I doubt it's actually Australian since RHD is apparently not legal over here (Bahrain). I didn't get a chance to look at the rear. Might be the Chevy Impala/Caprice/whatever with a nose job, though (I lose track which generation and door count is which nameplate).
I've seen a number of the big RWD GM things over here, GTO-generation and G8-generation, 2-dr and 4-dr, all badged as Chevys (except one red 4-door of GTO-generation that's badged as a Holden, but it is LHD so I think that one is a body-panel conversion). I haven't actually seen a Chevy SS of the current gen, but I've seen quite a few new-gen Chevy Caprices (only in the US as police cars).
Yesterday I saw a '66 Chevelle, badges on the fender and tail claimed SS 396. Shortly after there was an E46 M3 convertible (not amazing, but I'm pretty sheltered I guess) And then finally, not one, but TWO matching beat up VW Rabbit pickups parked next to each other. Unfortunately I was driving and can't provide adequate photographic evidence of this sighting.
Lurid green Bricklin on the road yesterday.
