There was never anything awe inspiring about a Dodge Diplomat.
The Diplomat NEEDS that engine.

dood. I have well over 20 vehicles now, including at least 6 that would great homes for this engine. (I only showed the top three candidates to keep the thread slightly on track) If there is anything that would be a worse decision than buying this engine, it would be buying yet another car to put it in. Plus, that Mirada is double what I usually pay.

If you don't get banned for pronoun abuse, I'm sure I'll be okay.
I owned (years ago as DD's) both a 71 Valiant and a Diplomat and there's no way I'd put ANY work into ANY Diplomat at this point.

I say D100. It already looks awesome, it deserves to drive awesome too.

Diplomatic Immunity.

Somewhere around here I have a cut down 440 crank and (Chevy?) rods for a 451 that I received in a huge parts stash nearly three decades ago.

I have a plenty of engine choices for that one. Everything fits in it.

Thank you for your support.

Funny you should say that...
I once had a Fifth Avenue. In lieu of smashing for a bachelor party a $50 car I just bought, we smashed my running, driving 5th Avenue. That says something. Not sure what it says.
No matter what it says, I vote for the Diplomat.
This just showed up on BaT. Would be perfect.

In reply to PMRacing :
Already own one that was part of a pair of K-wagons deal I bought.
But it is slated for a PT/GT transplant.
Also have the M-body version of one that Synthetic Blinker Fluid picked up for me in Northern California, but it will likely keep its 318/4bbl.
Here's a terrible idea. Sell me the Valiant to do something stupid with and narrow your choices. I think the Diplomat is cool. May be the second two door Diplomat I have ever seen.
In reply to drock25too :
Plan A is for the Diplomat to get the Scat Pack. Installing it will likey cost more than I paid for the drivetrain. But 3G Hemis don't install cheap.
The Valiant wouldn't be cheap. I paid real money for it. (Compared to the rest of my fleet)
