Now, I can't even see the search box anymore! But I can select two different areas not to search. Probably just a glitch, thought you might want to know. (Google Chrome on a MAC)

I always use "site:grassrootsmotorsports.com search terms go here" in Google

If you type "grassroots motorsports " into google, it'll give you a search bar within google. You don't need to do the 'site:..." jazz.

You're not getting it. He hit search. It appeared BELOW THE FRAKKIN NAVBAR! The search options are peeking out below.

Also, why does search suck so bad on this site? If I search two words that appear in a thread, it should find threads with that. I certainly don't want to search the magazine.

Weird. The new search works fine for me and I'm also on Google Chrome on a Mac. Did you try killing cookies? And is anyone else seeing this same problem?

For real this time, what extension is that blue thing in your search bar? I have one that kills flash unless I say its ok, maybe you have something that is interfering with the search function?

I don't know how to take a snapshot of the page …but there's a lot on that pic that isn't there on my desktop (MacMini) those "search options" with the blue boxes besides them don't show up for me

those "search options" aren't something I see … all I get is a blank space titled search that I then type in my hoped for match words

I also don't have the ads on top that take up room … wasn't anything I've done (at least on purpose) that makes mine show up this way …LOL

Fwiw, I long ago gave up on the direct search function within the GRMS or CMS web pages, and do it externally via Google. It's faster and far more accurate.

I just tried, and it comes up under the menu bar. (Win7 IE something)I never, or very seldom use any website search functions, because I never seem to be able to come up with terms that deliver anything resembling what I want.

The googles work fine.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong … but even trying to use google for my GRM search engine doesn't work for me

Firefox on Win7 does the same thing. You hit "search" from the menu bar and the search box is hidden by the menu bar.

edit: Clearing cookies works.

"what I'm searching for" + grassroots motorsports in google is the only way I search this site.

For the longest time, my brain thought your avatar was a boob spilling out of a luxurious robe.

My hope is that now the rest of you will be unable to ever un-see that.

Excellent. And everyone who's been using the Google search method: Clear your cookies and try the new and improved (really!) site search. We spent a little bundle of development dollars on this (so you'd totally better put out after this date), and I think you'll like it.

Margie

p.s. j/k about putting out. You can just send me candy instead.

Awesome. And I talked to our web developer and he confirmed that all problems should be solved by clearing cookies.

Hope you guys enjoy the new FUNCTIONING search feature!
