Although it's not "original", it's still a nice car. My first car was a '67, so the smaller nipple tail lights are really tugging at my heart strings. GT6's are kinda weird in the Triumph/LBC world. They were not very common, had a beautiful body and a nice bump in power. Back in the late '80's, I was the only one in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area who had one. Yet, with that, they still aren't as collectable as you'd expect.

You're asking price is quite fair given the updates and the work done on it. I would imagine you'll get more interest on a British car forum. Plus, it sounds like you're ready to let it go. Don't hesitate to sell it. You'll be happier in the long run. Good luck!

Wow, I wish I didn't live in a townhouse and have zero room for car storage. I'd consider buying that.

Since when has that ever stopped Ed?!

So, do you like black cars or no?

The GT6 is one of my favorite cars. I just wish they built it in a plus size, because I just don't fit.

I considered posting it on the CDC facebook page, but I try not to spam pages with for-sale stuff if I can help it...

Yep, I do love the way it looks. If I was rich and could just have it sitting nice in a show garage that would be great...but sitting out back in the "shed" collecting dust isn't how I like to see it. I'm sure someone could keep enjoying it on a more regular basis than me.

Sadly, Dad is getting up there in age and getting in and out of a car this low is an issue, and my brother has 4 kids and is more of a "house projects" guy than a car guy (and also is restoring dad's old sailboat to boot).

That looks pretty damn nice for a 5k car to me.

Well, except for half the car being fiberglass replacement panels so as a collector car it has no value...any value is just as an unusual fun driver for an enthusiast. This was my first project car so I'm sure there are things that could be improved, etc.

That said, I've already gotten a half-dozen emails about it off CL....so who knows.

You definitely will need the right buyer to accept the fiberglass bits but your price is in the right ball park. Looks like a nice car to me!

Mention it to Barnfinds. BAT has turned into an uppity online auction site and BF I think is the new BAT.

Did I see a build thread for this on another site a few years back?

Looks like it's priced right. I wanted one before I found my 240z but triumph coupes were hard to find even in at Atlanta.
