A bit weird, perhaps, but I am sitting here tonight proofing the November issue and was reading the always fun thoughts from our message board section. It reminded me I have been remiss in posting lately. A lot has gone on this summer including our 30th company anniversary a couple of weeks ago.
Mainly I just wanted to say thanks for all the ideas, energy, friendship and support you guys have given myself, my family and my staff over the years. I hope to see a lot of you at the $2014 Challenge or other events this fall.
Gary and I will be at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen the next two weekends. David will be at the Miata launch and JG will be at NASA Nats and Solo Nats. Ed is getting married and hopefully Tom is working on his homework and stories for David.
Thinking of you too.
What are you wearing right now?

Thanks Tim, sorry I didn't get to catch up with you guys at The Compound. One of these days...
Do you like Gladiator movies?
If you were always here I'd sit back and wonder who's flying the plane?
This is suspiciously similar to what I write/say to my wife when I "want something".
Not tonight, I have a headache.
(I can only hope I'm a small part of what Tim is referring to)

I think of it as more of a bus.
I always read Say What first and try to identify which thread they are from. I love the community here.
Is that Wally's challenge build? ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

I was wondering if you would be at Lime Rock this weekend. See you there! ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/grin-18.png)

I like long walks on the beach.
If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain...

Unfortunately, Jake is no longer employed at the place where he wore Kakhi's.
Tim are you racing at the vintage festival again or spectating this time? I'll make sure to say hello either way!
See you at the Challenge Tim. Look for the large bearded man near the early 80's-tastic AMC, and we can talk about the current state of the New England Patriots. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
Thanks guys. I am spectating this weekend. I let a younger member of our staff try the TR3 and he learned what it means to miss a shift. Expensive! We will have the car back together for next season.
And no, I like a lot of stupid movies, but gladiator movies have never been my thing.
As for the New England Patriots... I watched them last week and they seem ready to win the Superbowl. But trading Logan Mankins, what is Belichick thinking?
I haven't been around from the beginning, but I have since it was still AutoX. Scary that I have been reading it for more than half my life. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)
That must mean something as there isn't another publication I can say that about. After purchasing the mag from the book store for years, I finally bought my first subscription, from you Tim, at Nationals in the early '90's ('94?)
Where does the time go?
I'm trying to swing a trip to the Glen for the vintage festival now that my participation in the BMWCCA club racing season is over for the year. I can finally take a short break from wrenching on my car to... er... go watch other people race theirs? WTF. I need a different hobby.
In any case... if I make it I'll swing by the booth and introduce myself on the odd chance you have free beer ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)

he does things like that … and almost always seems to get away with it … it's like he can see a problem developing even before the player does … moves the player, and the next team thinks they've pulled one over on him … for maybe a yr .. then ….
Wow, I go to bed early and he goes onto the internet and starts trolling forums for "friends" who ask what he's wearing. Is that about right?
