That has more rear overhang than some of my cars. I mean, some of my cars are smaller than just your rear overhang! ;-)

Nice. Does it have the factory dual exhaust setup?
Here's my '69 Delta 88. My friend dubbed it the pimp mobile on day one of my ownership.

It does need a new top, not sure where I'm going to get that done, I need to find a place...the frame is actually rusted a bit and I got showered in rust particles when I opened and closed it.

No, it only has a single exhaust, was duals an option?

Torque Thrusts are like Mustard, they're good on anything. I just haven't decided if I'm going to go pimptastic and get wider whites or go for hot rod Torque Thrusts.
I have an 1965 issue of Car Life that I found back in the 80's. Inside was a picture of a '65 Mustang on Torq-Thrusts (I think they just called them American Mags back then) and whitewalls. At that point in my life, I only knew Cragars and Keystones. I eventually put Torq-Thrust II's on my own Mustang many years later because of that picture.
Anyway, I think whitewalls (not wides) on Torq Thrusts would look great on the right car. And you own the right car. Just stick with 15's.
My Dad owned a '75 88 4 door when my sister and I were kids. So many family trips and drives in that car. Plus it was gooooooold. Miss that car. Great find.

Well, I gotta find that picture then and see for myself!
Nice 98!
My parents used to have a 1970 98 convertible when I was little. It was green with a white top and a white interior, and the 375hp 455. I remember it being HUGE and going to get ice cream in it when it was nice out with the top down. My dad had a fender bender with it and left it at a guy's shop to get it fixed, but something happened to the engine when it was there and it was never the same. I remember the day the car got towed away to go to the junkyard and my mother crying like someone died.

I hear ya... My dad had a 63 corvette that he bought new and my mom was pissed at him for selling it for the rest of her life.
A lot of people have fond memories of being driven around in boats like this. This car is like some kind of time machine! From my perspective, I have absolutely zero interest in the normal muscle cars that most people want. 69 camaro? Boring. GTO? Don't care. I'd rather find an old car that is interesting and relatively cheap.
In reply to plance1:
Yeah but you'll get just as much if not more looks as a Camaro or GTO. It's not as boring as a car as you think.
I not a huge fan of convertibles, being that I spent most of my childhood in the back seat of one, but I would go for an Oldsmobile convertibles. They're the only ones that "talk" to me.
I used to have a customer with a '65 Olds Starfire. What a beautiful car. I loved the taillights.
That's a Doctor's car. One of my best childhood friend's father had one. He was one of the few OB/GYns in Orangeburg.
Jst remember to bring sunscreen and/or a hat. A fun afternoon in one of these, even in early spring, will lead to a painful existence for the next couple days if precautions are not taken. DAMHIK!

Nope. Nothing like either of those actually. I'll try to find the magazine tomorrow, which shouldn't be too difficult, though getting it into the computer might be a little tricky due to my limited nerd skills.
To Plance: Beautiful car! I happen to have a genuine 1969 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual upstairs, obtained by my Dad when he owned a 69 Toronado back in the day, so if there's any info I can supply, please ask. Of course, everything you could ever want to know might all be on the Internet these days (I've never looked), but there's just something cool about an original fold-out full-colour wiring schematic.
