If you go by the tag-line of the ad, it's only $18... Even Andy couldn't pull that off.
Once you read the ad, it's $18k... Cool build, and probably worth it, if that's what you want.
But I personally like Andy's car better, as it would probably kick this car's head in, for roughly 1/9th of the cost.
That engine sits pretty darn high. Is there a reason for that? An altered thing?
excuse my ignorance

it's an exaggerated take on the engine placement of the old altereds. they used to make the nose of the car as high as possible then put the engine up higher than stock in an effort to get more weight on the rear wheels when the car launched.. it was how things were done when leaf springs and a solid axle out of a van found in the junkyard was the best combo of cheap and light parts you could get..
this car, however, is a cartoon that is only meant to do 2 things- get your attention and scare the crap out of you when you try to drive it.
I saw that car up close and personal with some of the other GRM guys that showed up to the Knoxville get together at the cars and coffee event a couple weeks ago.
Definitely an attention getter, seemed to be very professionally put together but I don't see spending that kind of money on it.
Drop the motor 8", take 20" out of the wheel base and fit a bug hood like Andy did and that would be sweet.

I assume you're talking about this car
Does anybody remember why the hood scoop on it was canted slightly instead of being centered?
FWIW, I was even more impressed with the hood he fabricated for the yellow car
